2013 Arts in Education Grant Cover Memo    Grant Application   Grant Requirements    Grant Package*    Grant Voucher    Grant Final Report

The Arts Council of Calvert County (ACCC) offers Arts in Education (AiE) Grant funds to support cultural /artistic presentations that further the cultural arts development of children in state chartered public and private schools located in Calvert County, Maryland and occurring between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.  The deadline for FY2013 grant applications to be considered is April 27, 2012.  Applications are reviewed by a three-member Grants Review Committee.  The Committee's recommendations are presented to the Arts Council of Calvert County's Board of Directors for a final decision.  Applicants will be notified of results by mail no later than the end of the 2012 school year.  AiE Grant requests may not exceed $500.  Again this year, the applicant is not required to provide a one-to-one (1:1) dollar match.  Funding for the Arts in Education program is restricted to programming and presentations with Maryland artists.  Presentations and artists must meet high educational goals and professional standards.  It is the responsibility of the applicant to contact artists.  The Maryland State Arts Council maintains a roster of artists approved by an advisory panel.  Visit www.msac.org for more information.  Schools are encouraged to invite family members to performances and activities supported by Arts Council of Calvert County funds.  A Final Report must be completed and filed with the Arts Council of Calvert County by the end of the school year.  Failure to file a Final Report may jeopardize approval of future requests.

Grantees must give credit to the Arts Council of Calvert County and the Maryland State Arts Council in brochures, programs, news releases, publications, and other publicity materials.  When no printed information is used, verbal credit must be given.  Failure to acknowledge the above organizations as sources of funding may jeopardize the approval of future requests.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) provides the money used in the Arts Council of Calvert County's grants program.  That money is received in two (2) payments.  The first installment of 75% is expected in October 2012.  The second installment is expected in March 2013.  The Arts Council of Calvert County distributes grant money on the same schedule.  However, Artists-in-Education Grants are eligible to receive full payment in October 2012.  It is important to understand that funding from the State of Maryland is anticipated, but never guaranteed.

*Grant Package includes the Grant Cover Memo, Grant Application, and Grant Requirements in one file
