On November 2, 2012 the Arts Council of Calvert County held a
reception at the Springhill Suites by Marriott to announce that the
Caitlin Merie Hurrey Scholarship Fund has been moved to, and will be
administered by, the Arts Council. Arts Council President Bill
Chambers (right) introduced Earl Hurrey, Caitlin’s father, who
talked about Caitlin and why the scholarship fund had been
established. Originally administered by MENC, the scholarship fund
will now return to Calvert County, the Hurrey’s home County and be
administered by the Arts Council.
