High School Student Holiday Window Painting Contest 

This holiday window painting contest is open to High School students in Calvert County. Submissions can be from an individual student artist, group of student artists or by a teacher on behalf of a class of student artists.

 

Eligibility: Calvert County, MD High School Students; public, private or homeschool

 

Description: ACCC is excited to announce a holiday window decorating contest for Calvert County high school students! We are bringing the holiday spirit to downtown Prince Frederick with ART! Downtown businesses are participating by providing a window for students to paint. Students are invited to enter by submitting a holiday themed design they would then paint on the window if chosen. Businesses will select the design they want featured in their front window from submissions. Paint and supplies are provided by the Arts Council to selected students to complete their painting. Once students complete the window painting, voting will begin for the contest! Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

PROJECT SCHEDULE The artists' proposed design and application must be submitted through the Arts Council website by November 8, 2024. Selected artists will be required to have their assigned window painted by December 1, 2024. Public voting opens December 2, 2024 and runs through December 27, 2024. Winners will be announced January 3, 2025.

October 7, 2024-November 8, 2024: Applications accepted

November 15, 2024: Finalists chosen and notified

December 1, 2024: Window paintings must be completed

December 2, 2024: Public voting begins

January 3, 2025: Winners announced
