Claire Brooks

Claire Brooks is a local artist residing in Charles County. Like many artists, Claire has been practicing since she got her first box of crayons but just recently began showing her work locally. Through the years she has attended art lessons and workshops all over the country. She primarily paints in oils. Most of her work leans toward fauvism with a bright expressive color palate. When she’s not painting, you’ll often find Claire in front of her sewing machine or arranging flowers from her garden.

Claire’s work can be seen at CalvART Gallery in Prince Frederick, Maryland, and Mattawoman Creek Art Center in Marbury, Maryland.
