Linda Craven

Linda began drawing at the age of 6, and since then, has never stopped loving putting pencil to paper. Her mother taught her how to shade and in high school, she painted Plein Air in oils. She later studied art and graphic design at the University of Delaware. Linda learned a lot about color by enrolling in the Copyist program at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. She copied Monet, Turner, Corot and many more artists over a period of 10 years. Creating copies was a side job, along with her graphic design business. Since that time, she has expanded her knowledge by taking 5 day workshops. One of these was with David Lobenberg (California Vibe) and his influence took Linda into the wonderful world of watercolor portraiture. She enjoyed these and finally branched out to watercolor scenery, crabs, and more. She is currently working on a commission of peonies, which is challenging but fun.
