Mary Whitmore

Known to music colleagues and students as 'Dr. Mary'. Mary Whitmore graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (concentration: bassoon performance) and received her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Music Composition from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is an adjunct professor of music at the College of Southern Maryland, serves as the Music Director for the Davies Concert Series 51st season, volunteers at the Life Journeys Writers Guild, and teaches music lessons. Mary has been freelancing for community theaters, bands, ensembles, and orchestras since 2004.
