Join us for a bus trip to visit the National Portrait Gallery! You and friends will have a relaxed ride into DC for an afternoon at the museum. This event is a fundraiser for the Arts Council and Friends of Calvert Library!

About the event
The bus trip will depart at 1:00PM on Saturday, November 8th from the Prince Frederick Shopping Center parking lot, 110 Solomons Island Rd. Check-in for the event will be in the CalvART Gallery at the shopping center. You can check-in and peruse the artwork from local artists in the gallery before the bus departs!
You and friends will be riding in comfort in a motorcoach directly to the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. to enjoy an afternoon at the museum to see the "Out of Many: Portraits from 1600 to 1900" Exhibition, as well as other exhibitions at the museum. "Out of Many: Portraits from 1600 to 1900" highlights individuals who have helped shaped our nation's history and culture. The U.S. Semiquincentennial, America's 250th birthday, is being celebrated in 2026, and what better way to celebrate than exploring art, history, and culture that has influenced our great nation.
