Corrita Myers

There exists a delicate balance to our world. Art, Myers believes, is not merely an element of this balance but a vital force that maintains it. Creativity stands as a direct counterforce to destruction and negativity, illuminating paths forward when darkness threatens to engulf.

As artists, we often fulfill purposes beyond our full comprehension. Corrita's own creative journey emerged organically from life experiences that pulled her toward expression through visual art—a medium that called to her with unmistakable clarity.

Corrita's creative process springs from the fertile ground of curiosity, is nurtured by dreams, and blossoms through moments of inspiration. With each piece, she learns to embrace her role in contributing to life's delicate equilibrium, hoping to leave a lasting impression on those who encounter her work.

She is largely self-taught, embracing the humility of learning through trial and error, research, and the generous knowledge shared through online communities. Working from a modest studio space in her home, Corrita creates purely from her love of art and profound respect for the artists whose work surrounds and inspires her daily.

Corrita's work has been exhibited at Annmarie Gardens, Maryland Art Place, DC Arts Center, Prince Frederick Library, and Angel's Watch Shelter through Catholic Charities. She is a cohort member at Artworks @ 7th in North Beach Maryland and recently joined as a member at CalvArt Gallery in Prince Frederick Maryland. She has also been honored to create commissioned pieces for both non-profit organizations and private collectors.

Yet beyond these achievements, what matters most is the journey itself—this remarkable chapter of creative exploration that she continues to embrace with gratitude and wonder.

Myers thanks you for engaging with her work and the vision it represents.
