Paper Making: Paper Casting

Class Description: In this introductory class focused on paper‑making, we will use simple materials like toilet paper, paper towels, water and glue to create unique textured forms. We’ll experiment with a variety of molds — from glassware and kitchen tools to stamps, templates, and found objects — to make surprising works of art. No prior experience is needed. This is a relaxed, supportive space for creative exploration.

Class Instructor: Jo'e Simons

Jo’e ("jo") is a multidisciplinary creative whose works include paper‑crafting, macramé, meditative arts, and other modalities including watercolor, acrylics, and collage. Her approach blends intuitive, process‑oriented exploration with moments of gentle structure, allowing each medium to become a way of translating feeling into form.
